Breaking News: Dubious Recruitment At Nigerian Airspace Management Agency: 3 Directors, Company Secretary, General Managers, Others Face Sack

 

There are strong indications that many top guns and other categories of staff of the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) may soon be relieved of their jobs in the agency if the demands of aviation workers' unions are accepted by the Federal Government. Tipped to be affected are three directors,  the Company Secretary, general manager, assistant general managers and lower cadre staff,  who are deemed to have been employed in dubious circumstances.

Breaking News: Oil Spill: 34 Gbaramatu Communities Give NNPC/NSPC 7-Day Ultimatum To Pay Compensation, Provide Relief Items, Clean Up Impacted Areas 

Thirty-four communities in Gbaramatu Kingdom in Delta State have given the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) and Nigeria Pipeline Storage Company (NSPC, but formerly PPMC) a seven-day ultimatum to clean up the communities affected by 17 August PPMC trunk line crude oil spillage, provide relief items and pay adequate compensation. The demands were made in a statement issued by the impacted communities.

The management of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has announced that the content of its Orientation Course has been reviewed to align with current demands.

This was part of decisions made at the 2016 Batch ‘B’ Pre-Orientation Workshop in Calabar.
It was resolved that the skills acquisition and entrepreneurship programme of the scheme would be given greater attention so as to deepen the corps members’ entrepreneurial zeal.

Abuja – The Turkish Ambassador to Nigeria, Mr Hakan Çakil, has said that Nigerian students in Turkey are under the protection of the Turkish government.
Çakil said this on the sideline of a dinner reception to mark the 93rd anniversary of the founding of Turkey in Abuja at the weekend.

The Kano State chapter of the All Progressives Congress has passed a vote of confidence on President Muhammadu Buhari.
The vote of confidence was passed at the end of a three-day retreat of the party’s officials and stakeholders to discuss political party management in Sokoto on Sunday.
The communique was jointly signed by the Chairman and Secretary of the Communique Drafting Committee, Alhaji Alhassan Doguwa and Alhaji Umar Danlasan
