NYSC: We Didn’t Slash Corpers Allowances, It’s A Rumour
The National Youth Service Corps on Monday described as mischievous reports that F.G had slashed the allowances of corps members by 25 per cent.
A statement by the spokesperson for the
NYSC, Mrs. Abosede Aderibigbe, in Abuja, said the allowance of corps
members remained N19,800 and was not reduced to N14,800.
She said, “The management of the NYSC hereby refutes the content of the mischievous information circulating in
the social media to the effect that corps members’ allowance has been
slashed by 25 per cent. In the first instance, the document quoted a
‘Brigadier General Bamidele Oluwami’, the purported NYSC
Director-General, as the source of its information.
